Last year we photographed her older sister’s wedding, but this year it was Micki’s turn! We were honored and excited to be asked to go to Amelia Island, Florida to photograph Micki and Matt’s wedding! We had such a great time and were inspired by new and beautiful surroundings! It was great to be welcomed by their families and to spend two days of celebrating the marriage of this exceptional couple! We were grateful for their wonderful hospitality, and we now feel like a part of the family! With so many favorites images, we had trouble narrowing them down for this post! Enjoy!

Marci and Stephen:Engagement Session!
Marci and Stephen! What a nice couple! Both in health care here in Omaha, it’s obvious they are caring people! Stephen is a bit of a photo buff himself, and had some great ideas to bring to the session! Andrey brought his great vision to the session by “seeing” some conceptual shots like the composite of Marci and Stephen by the light/shadow wall and the shot of them by the Women and Men bathroom signs! And we can’t forget the “American Gothic” shot we saw while driving through a neighborhood. I’m so lucky I get to work with the man I’m inspired by the most! Isn’t he cool?
Meg and Matt: Engagement Session!
We had a great time exploring some new spots in Omaha with Meg and Matt. Meg’s an interior designer and Matt is an architecht in Omaha. They were lots of fun and open to trying some cool stuff…like incorporating the old TV sets and monitors we found dumped in a vacant lot. It’s always fun to see what we’ll find during a session! Katrina, Matt and Hunter: Family Photos!
We also had the opportunity to photograph some other good friends! Benjamin (seen in the blog below), our daughter, Mischa, and this little ball of fire, Hunter, are all buddies! In fact, all of us parents were in the same Natural Child Birth class! It’s so fun to see them grow up together! Hunter has quite the personality, which shines bright in these photos! Check them out!

Melissa, Dusty and Benjamin: A Family Session
We had the opportunity to photograph our good friends Melissa, Dusty and their son, Benjamin. We had a great time and Benjamin was a blast!
What a cutie! I love the one with his hands in his pockets! He looks like a little GQ boy!
They used this image on their Christmas cards and it was quite a hit with their friends and family!
Mom and Dad need a good one of just the two of them, too! They are such a great couple!
It was so fun to just play with Benjamin during the session! I think he had a pretty good time.

Abbey’s Senior Session
Oh, Abbey! Wow! We sure had a great time with Abbey! She is so creative with her fashion choices! We had so much fun finding all kinds of spots in Omaha and at her home in Council Bluffs to create a very unique session! Check ‘em out!
She had this great veil that belonged to her grandmother! Love it!
When I took this shot, I was so excited I actually ran over to her and hugged her! I knew it was perfect!

We found this cool spot where a bunch of TV and computer monitors had been dumped. We used them to our advantage! We’ve since been back there and they are all gone! We love exploring places like this and knowing that the work we do can NEVER be recreated!

Gabrielle’s Senior Session
Another fantastic Senior Session! Meet Gabrielle! A beautiful dancer for the Omaha Ballet. She has actually decided to be a trainee at the Ballet this year and finish her Senior year online. And I had the opportunity to see why! Wow! She is great! I just got to see her in the Omaha Ballet’s performance of Confetti at the Rose Theater over the weekend! It’s on until October 26th.
